July 13th

Please join HRRP on the City of Water Day for our land/sea cleanup at Turtle Cove. This event will be a two-pronged approach, 1 - by land, 2- by water. We will be meeting at the parking lot next to Rodman’s Neck ball field (limited parking and stop for Bx 29) at 11:30 am and walking down the pathway to the shoreline. We will be cleaning up the area around the shoreline all the way to Turtle Cove, the area within the red circle on the map. Bags/gloves/grabbers will be provided.

If you have a canoe, kayak, or small vessel you can meet us within the marked area. We will be able to shuttle a few people around to the cove via our small boats. Make sure to wear waterproof boots or old sneakers, long-sleeved shirts, and pants. Bring sunscreen, bug spray, water, and snacks. Watch out for poison ivy (we will provide poison ivy wipes if needed).
